Today, P6SS enjoyed a shared education session with P6 pupils from Downpatrick Primary School as part of the Our Generation programme, led by Action Mental Health.
Over the past number of weeks, the children have been exploring ways to develop their mental health and emotional wellbeing. Today’s session brought together their learning from the programme while also providing a valuable opportunity to build relationships with our neighbouring school.
A huge thank you to Alyson for leading today’s session, and to everyone from Downpatrick PS, who were a pleasure to welcome and host. We thoroughly enjoyed spending the day together!

Our Primary 7s have officially kicked off their Greenhill residential, and what a fantastic first day it has been!
As soon as we arrived, the energy was high and the kids jumped straight into their afternoon activities. From teamwork challenges to outdoor adventures, they’ve already been pushing themselves, conquering fears, and making amazing memories together. 🌟
After working up a massive appetite, we headed to the dining hall for a delicious dinner (and yes, everyone ate well!). 🍽️
What’s next?
The fun isn’t stopping just because the sun is going down. We are currently on our way into Newcastle for an evening of amusements and some well-deserved ice cream! 🍦🎟️
Everyone is in great spirits, full of smiles, and settling in brilliantly. Keep an eye on our page for more updates tomorrow! 📸

Today was a truly special day for our Primary 7 pupils as they received the Sacrament of Confirmation, surrounded by their families, sponsors, teachers, and friends.
A heartfelt thank you to Fr Eugene for leading the celebration and confirming our wonderful children. We are incredibly proud of the reverence, maturity, and enthusiasm they showed throughout this important milestone in their faith journey.
We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to our Primary 7 teachers, Mrs Watson and Mrs Vance, along with all our classroom assistants, for their dedication and support in preparing the children for this special day.
A special thank you also goes to Mrs Madine and our P6 choir for helping to make the celebration so memorable.
Congratulations to all of our Primary 7 pupils. You are a credit to yourselves, your families, and our school community.

Bhí lá den scoth ag R1/2 agus R3/4 in Indianaland inniu. Bhí am iontach acu ag súgradh le chéile agus ag dul ar thuras ar an bhus. Léirigh gach duine meas agus múineadh an t-am ar fad. Maith sibh! 💚
R1/2 and R3/4 had a great day at Indianaland. They had a brilliant time playing together and travelling together on the bus. Everyone had great manners and respect. Well done! 💚

🌟 What a beautiful day of celebration! 🌟
On Friday, Mrs Oakes’ wonderful P4 class hosted a truly special class assembly. The children spoke so beautifully about the importance of receiving the Eucharist for the very first time, sharing lovely reflections on why this is such a meaningful milestone in our lives and a true celebration of our love for Jesus. 🙏✨
But that wasn’t all! We wrapped up our assembly with the most spectacular fashion show. The children had the best time modeling their fancy suits and gorgeous dresses, lighting up the room with their massive smiles!
It was the most perfect, joyful way to finish off such a memorable week.

We were delighted to celebrate the success of three very special Primary 6 pupils - Mary, Áodhan and Caolan - today! ⭐🏐
Last weekend, they had the fantastic opportunity to play at half-time during the Down vs Armagh Ulster Championship game in Clones alongside their teammates from Ardglass All-Stars. What an unforgettable experience and an incredible achievement for them all!
It may not have been Down’s finest day on the pitch… but at least some Down players were bringing home silverware thanks to our pupils! 🏆😄
We are so proud and loved hearing all about their exciting day. Well done Mary, Áodhan and Caolan! 💚💛
