  • Uniform Swap

    Uniform Swap / Malartú na hÉide Scoile 👕♻️

     

    Non-Uniform Days: Wednesday 24th of June onwards

     

    Pre-Loved Uniform Drop Off Days: Wednesday 24th & Thursday 25th of June @ ‘An Rós Buí’ (IMU)

     

    Pre-Loved Uniform Collection Days : Monday 29th & Tuesday 30th of June @ ‘An Rós Buí’ (IMU)

     

    We are delighted to announce that we will be hosting our annual Uniform Swap at the end of June. From Wednesday the 24th of June onwards, children can wear their own clothes to school to allow us to prepare for the event.

     

    Pre-loved uniforms can be left into and collected from the ‘Rós Buí’ room in the Irish Unit. Any uniform items that are in good condition can be donated - school shoes, dresses, skirts, tops, cardigans, jumpers and PE kits. All donations are greatly appreciated and will help support families in our school community!

  • Principal's Award

    Congratulations to our outstanding recipients of the prestigious Principal’s Award! 🏆

     

    We have been focusing on Displaying Good Manners, and these pupils have truly shone by consistently showing kindness, respect, and consideration towards others. Whether through their polite behaviour, positive attitudes, or thoughtful actions, they have been wonderful role models within our school community.

     

    We are incredibly proud of these pupils for leading by example and demonstrating the importance of good manners every day. Keep up the fantastic work! 🌟

  • Primary 6 Visit Blackwater

    Our Year 6 pupils had a fantastic day at Blackwater Integrated College on Thursday! They took part in a variety of engaging activities across a range of subjects and thoroughly enjoyed every one of them.

  • P4 Make music

    Our Corridors Are Alive with the Sound of… Recycling! ♻️🐙

     

    As part of their topic, “Our Wonderful World,” our amazing P4 children have been busy turning everyday plastic items from home into fantastic, working musical instruments!

     

    Our incredible P4 Junk Orchestra treated us to a spectacular performance. From plastic bottle shakers to milk carton drums, their creations were absolutely magical, and their wonderful music brought smiles to everyone's faces! 🥳🌟

     

    By finding clever ways to reuse and recycle our plastic, our P4 eco-heroes are doing their part to make sure plastic stays out of our oceans and away from our precious marine life. 🌊🐋🐢

  • PYC Summer Showcase

    Year 3, 4 and 5 got to watch the Patrician Youth Centre Summer Showcase this afternoon. We loved it! It was wonderful to so many of our talented pupils and past pupils performing so confidently on stage. Thank you for having us PYC! 👏🏾

  • IMU Poetry Competition

    🎭 Comhghairdeas leis na páistí a fuair bonn san Fheis Fhilíochta i mbliana. Bhí tasc millteanach deacair ag Aingeal buaiteoirí a roghnú mar bhí ard-chaighdéan ann ó bhun go barr na scoile. Míle buíochas le hAingeal Lund ón Áisaonad a rinne an jab dúshlánach seo 🎭

     

    👏 A huge congratulations to the pupils in the IMU who recently took part in their annual poetry festival. Mrs Aingeal Lund from the Áisaonad in St Mary's University College, Belfast, had the unenviable task of selecting medal winners. She complimented the children on their high standards throughout the classes and said those that had the confidence to perform in front of their peers and an audience were already winners. 

     

    A huge 'Go raibh maith agat,' to Aingeal for her role as adjudicator on the day. 👏

  • P6 Shared Education

    Today, P6SS enjoyed a shared education session with P6 pupils from Downpatrick Primary School as part of the Our Generation programme, led by Action Mental Health. 

     

    Over the past number of weeks, the children have been exploring ways to develop their mental health and emotional wellbeing. Today’s session brought together their learning from the programme while also providing a valuable opportunity to build relationships with our neighbouring school.

     

    A huge thank you to Alyson for leading today’s session, and to everyone from Downpatrick PS, who were a pleasure to welcome and host. We thoroughly enjoyed spending the day together!

  • Residential Day One

    Our Primary 7s have officially kicked off their Greenhill residential, and what a fantastic first day it has been!

     

    As soon as we arrived, the energy was high and the kids jumped straight into their afternoon activities. From teamwork challenges to outdoor adventures, they’ve already been pushing themselves, conquering fears, and making amazing memories together. 🌟

     

    After working up a massive appetite, we headed to the dining hall for a delicious dinner (and yes, everyone ate well!). 🍽️

     

    What’s next?

    The fun isn’t stopping just because the sun is going down. We are currently on our way into Newcastle for an evening of amusements and some well-deserved ice cream! 🍦🎟️

     

    Everyone is in great spirits, full of smiles, and settling in brilliantly. Keep an eye on our page for more updates tomorrow! 📸
