    💚💛 We are delighted to have been shortlisted for the prestigious Capita School of Excellence ICT award. The judges were most impressed with the conversations on ICT they had with all the children in the school including the Digital Leaders. We look forward to the finals in March 💚💛

  • Coding Award

    💚💛🖥🖥 We are delighted to have successfully completed Phase 1 of our Empower Partnership with the Nerve Centre. This is our second year in partnership with Nerve. Our first year focused on Digital Film & Animation and was a great success. This year we are focussing on Computational Thinking and Coding.   • Tráth na gceist Rang 7

    Inniu, chuaigh daltaí Rang 7 go Caisleán Uidhlín le bualadh le Bunscoil Bheanna Boirche, Bunscoil an Iúir agus Gaelscoil na mbeann le páirt a ghlacadh I dtráth na gceist. Bhí deis acu bualadh leis na páistí agus a gcuid scileanna Gaeilge agus sóisialta a fhobairt.💚 Bhí lá iontach acu, tháinig siad sa chéad áit agus bhuaigh siad an corn!🏆

    Tá súil againn go mbeidh an deis acu bualadh leo arís le haghaidh tuilleadh gníomhaíochtaí spraíúla🥰

     

    Today, Rang 7 pupils went to Castlewellan along with 3 other primary schools for a quiz day. They had the opportunity to meet the children and expand their Irish and social skils. They had an amazing day, they came first and won the trophy!

    We hope to meet up with them again for more fun activities!

  • Eureka Seekers Assembly

    This week we had a special assembly from Eureka Seekers.

    Chris demonstrated how chemical reactions can occur to create gases, colour changes and eruptions of soap!

    The children had a blast predicting what would happen and observing the different experiments.

  • Spreading Christmas Cheer in the Community

    Our pupils were out spreading Christmas cheer in the community again today as P6SS and Rang 7 visited Mount View to sing carols and dance. 

    Experiences like these are invaluable to our community and we are very proud to be part of something so special.

  • TT Rockstars Battle of the Bands Competition

    Congratulations to all the participants in our recent KS2 TT Rockstars Battle of the Bands Competition. 

    It was an intense competition with P6CM coming out on top. 
    P7AV came second and P6SS finished in 3rd position.

    The top achievers in each class were recognised and presented with certificates for their efforts. 

    More than 250,000 times tables questions were answered during this tournament- a testament to our very hardworking KS2 pupils.

  • Advent Assembly

    Today we held our Advent Assembly - an opportunity for all classes in the school to come together and celebrate our faith. 

    We listened to readings and reflections and sang carols and hymns - a beautiful way to prepare for Christmas as a school community.

  • Seó Ceol na Sióg

    Bhí lá iontach ag na páistí san Aonad nuair a d’fhreastal siad ar Seó iontach, Ceol na Sióg, le Gráinne Holland, agus níos fearr arís, bhí deis againn am a chaitheamh lenár gcairde ó Bhunscoil Bheanna Boirche. 

    The children from the IMU had a great day today attending a show performed by Ceol na Sióg with Gráinne Holland. Even better, the children had the opportunity to spend some time with our friends from Bunscoil Bheanna Boirche!

  • Christmas Dinner and Jumper Day Geansaithe & Dinnéar na Nollag inniu

    We had a great day enjoying the festivities in school before we devoured our beautiful Christmas Dinner.

    Our kitchen staff experienced great difficulties this week due to electrical problems in the kitchen, however despite all obstacles our amazing dinner ladies served over 300 beautiful Christmas dinners today. We wish to extend our thanks to the ladies in the canteen for their hard work all week. 

    We also wish to thank our PTA for giving every child in the school a selection box today.
