What is a Digital Leader?

A Digital Leader is a pupil who is part of a Digital Leaders Team within a school. Their main role is to support and assist teachers and children in using technology effectively and safely. They will also help to maintain computer equipment and troubleshoot technical issues.

How are Digital Leaders chosen?

Digital Leaders come from our Year 5-7 classes and from all ability levels having been assembled through a selection process.

  • Primary 5 will create and present a poster about their digital interests and will become our Digital Hero's.
  • Primary 6 will create and present a poster about their digital interests and will become our Digital Warriors.
  • Primary 7 will create a Google slides presentation about their digital interests and will become our Digital Ambassadors.

How do Digital Leaders do to help us?

The Digital Leaders team meet regularly with Mrs Rodgers completing ongoing training to develop specific areas of computing expertise. While these areas could be self-determined, our school also choose key areas that are specific to the wider educational or practical needs of the school and its community. In addition to their technical skills, our digital leaders will also have great communication and leadership skills. They will be responsible for training sessions and presentations, and will ensure that everyone in the school is up-to-date with the latest developments in technology.
